I’ve trained in over 200 gyms, here’s the one thing that separates people in shape from those wasting their time:
Playing on their phone in between sets.
That’s literally it.
Those who make progress are focused. Their phone is away. They’re not itching to get it out every five seconds.
Those who never make progress are sitting on benches, scrolling apps, wondering why they’re not getting any stronger.
It’s a colossal waste of time.
A far better use of that time would be to rest less and get the workout done faster. Superset exercises to get more repetitions in per minute with less idleness.
Work when you work, train when you train. Guard the boundaries between the two.
It’s that simple.
